Checkr, Inc. in Santiago, Chile is seeking a Software Engineer II on the Data Acquisition team to help build scalable data platforms that support fair hiring decisions.

You will work with engineers in Chile and the US on end-to-end backend features, from design to production monitoring. You should have 4+ years of backend experience, strong Python (or Go), and hands-on knowledge of distributed systems, APIs, and data pipelines.

Formación

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with a strong backend focus.
• Proficient in Python (or Go) and building distributed systems, APIs or data pipelines.
• Experience with containerized deployments — Docker, Kubernetes / EKS.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms — AWS.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Work on development lifecycle for data platform features from design to production monitoring.
• Design and build data acquisition platforms in Python focusing on reliability and observability.
• Participate in architecture decisions and contribute to technical direction.
• Improve platform visibility with logging, metrics, and alerts (Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
• Collaborate with engineers in Chile and the US on async-first planning and execution.
