Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff AI Engineer based in Chile to lead production-grade AI initiatives, shape architecture, and raise reliability across AI platforms. You will mentor teams, design scalable AI infrastructure, and drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, QA, and Operations.

The role emphasizes owning major AI projects from planning to deployment, building reliable agents, and balancing deterministic logic with LLM capabilities while optimizing cost and latency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design, development, and delivery of major AI initiatives, including AI-powered assistants, contextual data systems, and generative AI features.
• Contribute directly to production AI systems from the outset, identifying opportunities and improving architecture and workflows.
• Drive early improvements in AI quality, reliability, and performance with measurable enhancements.
• Take ownership of major AI projects from architecture and planning through deployment and optimization.
• Define and influence architectural decisions across teams, with responsibility for AI architecture and shared platform infrastructure.
• Establish scalable AI quality frameworks, including automated evaluations, regression testing, guardrails, tracing, feedback, and monitoring.
• Design and implement reliable AI agents and tool integrations balancing deterministic code and LLM capabilities while considering security, latency, and cost.
• Advance engineering quality and velocity through standards, reviews, and documentation.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, Operations, and engineering to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor and promote engineering excellence with clear standards and continuous improvement.
