Job summary

Cloudbeds is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Core AI Squad. Design, build, and operate customer-facing AI platform capabilities in Python, collaborating with PHP and Java engineers across a distributed team.

You will own evaluation, observability, and reliability of AI features and drive tool orchestration to ensure scalable, cost-conscious solutions in production systems. This role emphasizes ownership, pragmatic architecture, and mentorship within a senior, product-minded group.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency with Python in production environments, APIs and services.
• Hands-on experience with agentic systems, LangChain, or related LLM workflows.
• Cloud and containerization experience (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate customer-facing AI platform services primarily in Python, integrating with PHP and Java as needed.
• Own evaluation, observability, and quality feedback loops for AI features.
• Collaborate with product, design, data, security, and engineering partners to identify and implement AI opportunities.
• Write clean, well-tested code and advocate for engineering best practices and automation.
• Ensure reliability, latency, and cost targets in production AI systems.
