Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Specialist Radiographer to justify, authorise and perform radiographic examinations, delivering a high-quality diagnostic imaging service and supervising Radiographers and SHCSW to ensure continuity of care.

You will assess patient condition, evaluate images for quality and safety, maintain up-to-date radiographic practice and make decisions in complex circumstances, with a commitment to reducing unnecessary radiation exposure.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiographer with HCPC Registration.
• Educated to Degree level (Radiography).
• Postgraduate expertise within specialty/area of practice to lead safety and practice.

Responsibilities

• Justify/authorise and perform radiographic examinations ensuring minimal radiation exposure.
• Supervise Radiographers, Assistant Practitioners and SHCSW.
• Implement radiographic procedures and ensure continuity of service delivery.
