Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is hiring a Sonographer to independently perform and report ultrasound examinations and train Radiology Registrars. You will support the Area Lead Sonographer in achieving operational targets and improving patient care within Radiology.

The role requires HCPC registered radiographers with degree level education and postgraduate radiology expertise, along with knowledge of clinical guidelines and a collaborative, audit-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Registered Radiographer with valid HCPC registration.
• Educated to/working towards Degree level in Radiography.
• Postgraduate expertise within speciality to lead safety and quality.
• Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines in radiology.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and report ultrasound examinations and train Radiology Registrars.
• Assist Lead Sonographer and meet operational targets.
• Promote positive, collaborative team environment and communicate with health-care team.
• Contribute to departmental audit and Quality Assurance.
