Job summary
NHS Lanarkshire in Scotland is seeking a skilled clinical pharmacist to deliver patient-centred specialist pharmaceutical care to specified groups, supporting medicines governance and quality improvement within specialist areas.
You will communicate effectively, develop and action care plans, undertake CPD, promote pharmacy services and contribute to research or audits, with registration with GPhC and Masters of Pharmacy as prerequisites.
Qualifications
- Masters of Pharmacy with registration to the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Independent prescribing qualification or active development toward it.
- Postgraduate training in clinical pharmacy and CPD demonstrated.
- Post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient-centred specialist pharmaceutical care in defined clinical areas.
- Communicate clearly, placing patients at the centre of interactions.
- Assess pharmaceutical needs and develop actionable care plans.
- Identify training needs and participate in CPD activities.
- Promote pharmacy services and contribute to professional development.
- Engage in research or audit within the specialist practice area.
