Sovos is hiring a Senior Database Administrator to scale and safeguard our enterprise database environments powering SaaS apps for 100,000+ customers. You will lead performance tuning, high-availability, and disaster recovery while mentoring junior DBAs and collaborating with product teams.

We value hands-on expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a bias for action as we streamline AI-assisted operations and ensure SQL Server reliability across global deployments.

Formación

• Hands-on experience managing production database environments.
• Deep expertise in performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong proficiency with SQL Server environments.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for critical database technologies, leading resolution of incidents and performance issues across SQL Server environments.
• Proactively monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning solutions to optimize queries and throughput.
• Collaborate with software engineers and tech leads to review query designs and schema changes for efficiency and scalability.
• Lead patches, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime, including backup/recovery, high-availability, and disaster recovery testing.
• Mentor and support junior DBAs and application teams, driving best practices across the org.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to streamline monitoring, root cause analysis, and workflows.
• Communicate database health, maintenance status, and risks clearly to stakeholders.
