Metso is seeking a Senior Manager, Special Logistics to lead the West Special Logistics region (NCA & SAM) within the Services Supply Chain. You will guide regional operations, drive performance, and shape capability through change management and stakeholder collaboration, ensuring reliable deliveries and business growth.

You will report to the Director Special Logistics and manage a nine-person team across multiple sites with hybrid working options.

Introduction

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Special Logistics to join the Services Supply Chain organization and lead the West Special Logistics region (NCA & SAM). Special Logistics is divided into three regions: West, Central, and East.

In this role, you will lead regional operations, drive performance and capability development, and shape the future of Special Logistics through continuous improvement, change leadership, and stakeholder collaboration. You will play a key role in ensuring reliable customer deliveries, enabling business growth, and building a high-performing Special Logistics organization capable of adapting to evolving customer and business requirements.

You will report to Burcu Sahin, Director Special Logistics.

This role is based in Irapuato - Mexico, Sorocaba – Brazil or Concon-Chile with hybrid working options available.

Team you will belong to

You will lead a team of nine Special Logistics professionals focused on managing supplier-direct deliveries, customer-specific logistics requirements, and logistics execution processes that require a high degree of coordination, flexibility, and stakeholder engagement.

Our team plays a key role in ensuring reliable customer deliveries by enabling seamless collaboration across the supply chain, maintaining high standards of delivery execution, documentation quality, and process compliance, and supporting business growth through specialized logistics capabilities.

We collaborate closely with Procurement, Delivery Management, Customer Service, Trade Compliance, Logistics Service Providers, and external suppliers and partners. Our global team is based across multiple countries, and our ways of working emphasize accountability, customer focus, proactive collaboration, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision making.

What you’ll do

• Lead, coach, and develop a regional team of Special Logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Drive reliable and compliant execution of specialized logistics processes that require close coordination across suppliers, customers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary escalation point for critical delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing business and customer impact.
• Proactively collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify opportunities, remove barriers, and improve logistics performance and customer experience.
• Analyse operational performance, delivery trends, and key metrics to identify risks and opportunities, translating insights into actionable improvement initiatives.
• Drive fact-based decision making and operational excellence through performance management, standardization, and continuous improvement.
• Lead transformation and change management initiatives, driving adoption of new ways of working, digital solutions, and a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
• Lead and implement regional improvement and transformation initiatives that strengthen business performance, customer satisfaction, and long-term organizational capability.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• Several years of leadership experience within logistics, supply chain, transportation, or delivery operations in an international environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams across multiple locations and cultures.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build effective collaboration across functions and organizational levels.
• Experience managing complex logistics operations, critical deliveries, and high-impact operational escalations.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to interpret performance data, identify opportunities, and drive business improvements.
• Demonstrated experience leading transformation, change management, and operational excellence initiatives, with the ability to influence mindsets, drive organizational adoption, and translate strategic objectives into sustainable business improvements.
• Nice to have: Experience with digitalization, analytics, automation, SAP, Power BI, or other supply chain technology solutions.
