Deel leads the way in global payroll and HR tech, and seeks a senior Backend Engineer/Tech Lead to own Deel's HRIS data platform. You will guide architecture for a 4+ person team, write production code in Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL, and mentor through reviews and cross-team collaboration with Payroll and Onboarding.

Formación

• At least 10 years of Backend Engineer experience.
• At least 2 years as Tech Lead or mentoring Engineers.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience developing with NodeJS or Python.
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL, PostgreSQL, and ORMs.
• Demonstrated experience shipping real products/features using Claude AI.
• Clear documentation, code comments, and proactive communication.
• Strong remote collaboration in distributed teams.

Responsabilidades

• Own the technical vision for Deel's HRIS data platform and guide a 4+ person engineering team.
• Make architecture decisions and drive end-to-end feature development.
• Review AI-generated code and ensure quality before shipping.
• Contribute across the SDLC from discovery to deployment and deployment strategy.
• Develop robust features, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Ship features with ownership from design to production and monitoring.
• Ensure secure coding, testing, and compliant practices.
