Kraken is hiring a Network Engineer for Core Infrastructure Engineering to design, build, secure, and operate the global data-center and network backbone. You will own automation and tooling to scale operations and improve uptime across environments, including on-premise and cloud connectivity.

The role emphasizes hands-on build, security-first networking, and collaboration with Engineering and IT Security to ship secure, reliable infrastructure at scale.

Formación

• 2+ years of network engineering with a security-minded approach.
• Hands-on with firewalls (PAN-OS / Panorama).
• Hands-on data-center / physical infrastructure work: racking, cabling, power, cross-connects, and hardware install.
• Working knowledge of switching (VLANs) and routing (OSPF, BGP, ECMP, PBR).
• Exposure to public cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid connectivity.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code / automation (Terraform, Ansible).

Responsabilidades

• Design and build data centers end-to-end including cages, racks, power, and cabling.
• Deliver connectivity - circuits, dark fiber, and DIA - coordinating carriers and capacity.
• Stand up modern data-center fabrics (Cisco ACI / HPE Apstra).
• Design, implement, and defend a zero-trust network with centralized firewalls.
• Implement and evolve enterprise access controls (RBAC, least-privilege, segmentation).
• Partner with Engineering and IT Security to ship secure features.
• Provision and troubleshoot infrastructure requests and keep queues moving.
• Monitor and maintain network, security, compute across sites and cloud.
• Develop IaC tooling and internal utilities to reduce toil.
• Document policies and mentor on secure-network practices.
