Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc in Chile seeks a Performance Engineer to implement and validate performance engineering for applications and services. You will verify NFRs such as response time, throughput, scalability, stability, and resource use, collaborating with development, DevSecOps, architecture, and product teams.

You will build automated performance tests, craft workload models, run load and soak tests, and analyze bottlenecks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of performance testing/performance engineering experience with web apps and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as k6, JMeter, or Gatling.
• Familiarity with Locust or similar load testing tools.
• Solid understanding of load, stress, and spike testing.
• Intermediate English proficiency (B1+).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the performance testing and performance engineering strategy.
• Translate NFRs into measurable performance acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Execute load, stress, spike, endurance tests across web apps, APIs, and services.
• Develop and maintain automated performance test scripts.
• Analyze performance across stack and identify bottlenecks.
• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines and report findings.
