Job summary

EPAM Systems in Chile seeks a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer to design, build, and evolve cloud platform services used by product teams. This role treats the cloud platform as a product, delivering reusable building blocks, paved roads, and a consistent developer experience aligned with CCoE standards.

The engineer will collaborate with security and operations to ensure reliability, scalability, and enterprise guardrails while advancing IaC-driven pipelines and platform APIs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cloud engineering experience with a product/platform mindset.
• Deep knowledge of AWS compute, storage, networking, and managed services (EKS, ECS, Lambda).
• Expertise in AWS managed services such as EC2 and RDS.
• Experience architecting shared services for logging, monitoring, and secrets management.
• Background in centralized integrations including Transfer Family, KMS, and IAM federation.
• Security-by-design practices including IAM roles and SSO/OAuth integrations.
• Understanding of SIEM feeds and policy-as-code.
• Experience defining platform APIs/interfaces and collaborating with DevOps/IaC teams.

Responsibilities

• Build reusable platform capabilities and golden baselines.
• Maintain centralized services such as logging, monitoring, secrets, identity, file transfers, and key management.
• Co-create paved roads and golden paths with product teams, security, and operations.
• Collaborate with Cloud DevOps/Automation engineers to codify platform interfaces in IaC and pipelines.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, scalability, resilience, and developer experience.
• Serve as the voice of the customer to prioritize platform features and lifecycle investments.
• Ensure platform capabilities align with security, compliance, and enterprise architecture guardrails.
