EPAM Systems Chile is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to modernize data environments with cloud and lakehouse solutions using Databricks. You will lead scalable pipeline delivery, data migration, and governance while partnering with technical and business teams to deliver value for clients.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, architecture design, and collaboration across cross-functional teams, with focus on data quality, cost optimization, and secure data platforms.

Formación

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Consulting experience with clients and stakeholders.
• Hands-on data migration projects to cloud or platform-to-platform.
• Databricks development and optimization expertise.
• Proficient in SQL and data modeling.
• Python or Scala for data workloads.
• Good English communication (B2).
• Strong analytical and ownership mindset.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable batch and streaming data pipelines.
• Deliver data migration initiatives to cloud or cross-platform.
• Develop and optimize data solutions using Databricks and Spark.
• Build ETL/ELT processes following best practices.
• Elicit requirements with technical and business teams.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security across platforms.
• Monitor cloud performance and cost optimization.
• Troubleshoot production pipeline issues.
• Document architectures and migration strategies.
