EPAM Systems in Chile seeks a Lead Data Software Engineer (Java+GCP) to drive design and implementation of scalable data solutions, mentor engineers and align with stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products on Google Cloud.

You will lead data pipelines on Databricks, ensure code quality, optimize SQL, and promote cloud-native approaches across projects, while communicating in English with the team.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience in data software engineering
• Proficiency in Java and SQL
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform and Databricks
• Capability to design and lead complex data engineering initiatives
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and development of data software solutions using Java and GCP
• Architect scalable and reliable data pipelines on Databricks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define technical requirements
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering team members
• Ensure code quality through reviews, best practices and standards enforcement
• Optimize SQL queries and data processing workflows for performance
• Drive adoption of cloud-native solutions across data engineering projects
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders in English to align on project goals
