Fluor Constructors in Santiago, Chile invites applications for a Designer I. Working under detailed instructions, you will provide essential technical knowledge and perform 2D CAD drawings and modest 3D layout to support the Design Area Lead.

You will review vendor equipment docs, ensure compliance with project requirements, and adhere to industry codes and standards. The role emphasizes punctuality, attention to detail, and effective communication with management, clients, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Accredited two-year degree or equivalent, or four years' related experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, coworkers, clients, and vendors.
• Job-related technical knowledge to complete duties.
• Ability to learn and apply local and national statutes and guidelines.
• Attention to detail and able to work time-consciously.
• Knowledge of material cost and availability.
• Practical field experience.
• Intermediate computer skills including word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare 2D CAD drawings of moderate complexity.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for basic complexity and resolve discrepancies.
• Adhere to industry codes, standards, and department procedures.
