Bradken is seeking a Field Technical Support Engineer - Product Development with 2–4 years of experience in mining operations. You will perform inspections, wear analysis, and support product development while liaising with the SAM engineering team in a remote-capable role.

The position requires travel to mine sites, strong technical orientation, and collaboration with global teams. North Chile availability and flexible field work are expected.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in mining operations or heavy industries.
• Experience in field inspections, shutdown support and wear assessment.

Responsabilidades

• Gather on-site data and coordinate with Central Engineering for analysis.
• Support investigations and root-cause analysis for product performance.
• Maintain strong client relationships through on-site engineering support.

Are you passionate about seeing your field technical analysis and assessments transform into real, world-class designs and products? As a Field Technical Support Engineer - Product Development (Fully remote position), you will be the key link between mining operations and our SAM engineering team.

The Challenge

We Are Looking For a Professional With 2 - 4 Years Of Experience, Focused On Problem-solving And With a Strong Technical Orientation To

• Execute technical inspections, wear assessments, and mill liner scanning activities during shutdowns and operational campaigns.
• Gather critical technical data on-site and act as a liaison with the Central Engineering team for performance analysis and optimization of new designs.
• Support technical investigations and root cause analysis related to product performance, validating operational and installation conditions.
• Build and maintain solid technical relationships with clients through a continuous field presence, delivering on-site engineering support backed by a multidisciplinary Engineering team to develop high‑value technical solutions.
• Guarantee a 360° Safety Culture: Comply with occupational health and safety standards in all field activities.

What you bring to the team

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Execution Engineering, or a related field.
• Industry Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience working in mining operations, concentrator plants, metallurgy, or related heavy industries.
• Technical Experience: Proven experience in field inspections, shutdown support, and mill liner wear assessment.
• Software Tools: Knowledge of design, 3D modeling, and engineering simulation tools. Experience in 3D scanning, point cloud capture and processing, dimensional surveys, and manual field measurements for the validation and development of engineering solutions will be highly valued.
• Field Readiness: Physical capacity and full willingness to travel to mine sites (including high altitude) for inspections and technical support.
• Languages (Not a requirement, but highly desirable): Professional English level (oral and written) for collaboration and reporting with global teams.

Location and Flexibility

Availability to operate primarily in the North of Chile, with the flexibility to provide technical support in other regions according to business needs.
