Job summary

Olympus Corporation is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and support medical products in the field. You will work under supervision of the Manager and Senior FSE Trainer, delivering expert technical support and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities include installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, customer training, and collaboration with sales and service teams. Travel to customer facilities and adherence to vendor credentialing are required, with flexibility for overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or related technical discipline is required or 4+ years of equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years as a Field Service Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electromechanical / microprocessor-based products.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong customer service skills required.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License; ability to travel overnight over 40%.
• Ability to communicate technical needs clearly to customers and colleagues.
• Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good multi-tasking, prioritization, and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain high customer satisfaction with products and service.
• Respond to inquiries and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality systems.
• Train customers on basic operation of products.
• Provide feedback and improvements based on field issues.
• Perform installations, upgrades, testing, and technical support for assigned products.
