Toyota Automated Logistics seeks a Field Application Engineer to build relationships with industrial clients in Chile, develop strategy for target accounts, sales pipeline, and routine customer visits, and apply material handling tech to improve customer operations.

The role requires self-starting initiative, strong technical sales experience, English proficiency, and ability to lead opportunity development with new and existing customers.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred (mechanical preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in technical sales.
• Knowledge of Toyota Automated Logistics scope and material handling technologies.
• English proficiency (verbal and written).

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with industrial clients in assigned geographic market.
• Develops and grow strong relationships with industrial clients through visits and meetings.
• Creates and manages strategy around target accounts and sales pipeline.
• Gathers product information, customer needs, and opportunities through onboarding and training.
• Leads opportunity development with new and existing customers for most projects.
• Creates concepts, drawings, cost schedules, and detailed proposals.

A successful Field Application Engineer will have exceptional knowledge of material handling technologies and understand how to apply them in order to improve our customer's processes and operations.

Job Functions

• Intermediate knowledge and expertise on Toyota Automated Logistics scope of supply and capabilities,


• advanced knowledge in select areas.


• Develops and grow strong relationships with industrial clients in assigned geographic market.


• Develops a thorough understanding of product information, customers, business operations, and


• opportunities through onboarding, training, and development opportunities.


• Creates and manage strategy regarding target accounts, sales pipeline, and routine customer visits.


• Understands and execute TAL's approach regarding marketing and brand awareness with


• prospective and existing customers.


• Develops in-depth knowledge of supplier offerings by attending training opportunities as well as


• conducting own research as necessary.


• Assists with Project Management and/or Site Management solutions that are sold to customers.


• Able to lead opportunity development process with new and existing customers for most projects.


• Creates concepts, drawings, cost schedules, and detailed proposals.


• Understand financials, budgets, and cash flow.

Travel Requirements

• 30% overnight travel (Travel expenses paid by Toyota Automated Logistics)

Required Qualifications And Preferred Skills

• Bachelors Degree in Engineering preferred (preferably Mechanical)


• 5+ years of experience in technical sales


• Portray a basic level of knowledge regarding Toyota Automated Logistics scope of supply, material handling technologies, and capabilities and apply them to customers needs.


• Technical sales experience in the industrial sector a plus


• AutoCAD experience a plus


• Results focused individual that can close sales and secure business for the organization


• Self-starter who can create and manage strategy


• Proficiency in English (verbal and writing)


• Employees must follow all information security policies, protect confidential data, complete required training, and report any suspected security incidents to support our information security controls.
