BHP Chile is seeking a Manager Engineering to lead the development and delivery of engineering strategies for capital projects in Santiago. This role acts as the single point of accountability for Project Engineering, aligning scope, cost, schedule, value and risk across the project lifecycle.

The position focuses on tailings storage facilities and integrates with asset teams, reporting to the Director of Engineering and Quality. Some rosters may apply; travel to sites could be required.

Formación

• 15+ years of mining capital project experience.
• 10+ years in Tailings Storage Facilities design and execution.
• 10+ years leading engineering teams on large, complex projects.
• 2+ years operating tailings storage facilities.
• Knowledge of engineering contractors, cost estimates and scheduling for mining projects.
• Strong understanding of project controls, cost estimating, scheduling and execution planning.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering leadership to support project development and delivery.
• Manage project engineering resources and act as a single point of contact for the project or study manager.
• Lead governance and assurance activities for engineering across the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Construction, Delivery, Commissioning, Ops Readiness and Operations teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and capital efficiency while promoting safe execution.
