BHP Chile is seeking a senior HSS leader to guide safety programs across large mining capital projects. You will support project directors and managers, drive safe decision-making, and oversee EPCM contractors to meet BHP standards.

The role requires extensive project management and leadership, with a track record in capital projects and safety leadership at executive levels. Shift is 4x3, offering strong development and a commitment to a safe, inclusive culture.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in health and safety management, Engineering or a related field.
• Postgraduate studies desirable.
• Extensive Project Management Exposure on the delivery of large Capital Projects desirable.
• Operational: minimum of 10 years’ experience in capital projects and large mining operations, including responsibility for budgets at work team level.

Responsabilidades

• Designs safety programs tailored to the specific needs and realities of each project and, through the application of BOS, ensures continuous improvement and the achievement of defined HSS objectives.
• Provides strategic HSS support to Project Directors and Project Managers, enabling sustainable decision-making across projects.
• Effectively manages EPCM contractor(s) to ensure alignment with, and compliance with, BHP standards and requirements, thereby achieving excellence in HSS performance.
• Engages and negotiates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of HSS tactical plans.
