Huawei Technologies is seeking a Commissioning Engineer for BESS in Santiago, Chile, to lead commissioning, testing and start-up of energy storage systems and related equipment. You will verify installations, configure PCS/EMS parameters and troubleshoot issues, collaborating with EPCs and international teams.

The role requires 2+ years in BESS commissioning, strong electrical knowledge and fluent English for cross-border communication. Occasional travel to project sites is expected.

Formación

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in BESS commissioning or field engineering.
• Hands-on with BESS, PCS and EMS preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical diagrams and protection systems.
• Fluent English mandatory for international teams.

On behalf of ICT company Huawei Technologies, we are looking for: Commissioning Engineer – BESS to support the commissioning and deployment of Huawei Digital Power Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform commissioning, testing and start-up of BESS, PCS, EMS and related electrical equipment.
• Verify installation, electrical connections, grounding, protection and communication systems.
• Configure and test PCS, battery and EMS parameters.
• Troubleshoot BESS, PCS, EMS, communication and alarm issues.
• Support SCADA/EMS integration, grid connection and system acceptance.
• Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with EPCs, customers and internal technical teams.
• Travel frequently to project sites in Chile.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Automation or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in BESS commissioning, electrical commissioning or field engineering.
• Hands-on experience with BESS, PCS and EMS is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, single-line diagrams and protection systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English is mandatory, both written and spoken, for technical communication with international teams.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel frequently.
• Knowledge of Chilean electrical regulations and SEC requirements is a plus.
