Coherent is seeking a Wet Processing Process Engineer in Switzerland to lead development of wet-chemical surface prep for epitaxial growth in next-gen photonics and AI-focused applications.

You will establish and optimize manufacturing processes, collaborate with R&D, epitaxy, production, and process engineering, and drive continuous improvements from development to high-volume production.

Qualifikationen

• Hands-on experience with wet-processing techniques (wet etching, cleaning, oxide removal, stripping)
• Ability to plan DOE and run qualification activities for processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven improvements
• Experience documenting processes and creating control plans
• Good collaboration with R&D, Epitaxy and Production communities
• Fluency in German and English is desirable

Aufgaben

• Set up, develop, and qualify wet-chemical surface preparation processes for epitaxial overgrowth.
• Support the specification, installation, and qualification of wet-processing equipment and metrology systems.
• Plan and execute qualification runs, DOE, and test studies to establish robust processes.
• Analyse process data, prepare technical reports, and recommend improvements.
• Develop process monitoring and control strategies for stable manufacturing performance.
• Train personnel and support process transfer into production.
• Provide technical support during ramp-up and resolve process challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement for yield and quality.
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations in wet processing.
