The UK Mission in Geneva invites applications for a temporary Chef & Residence Manager to support the Ambassador's Residence for an expected period of three months. The role combines high‑end culinary leadership with managing residence services in a diplomatic setting.

Based in Geneva, you will plan menus, oversee kitchen operations, manage a small team, and ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation and hospitality for official events and visiting guests.

Qualifikationen

• Two years' chef or cook experience in hospitality, catering, or events.
• French language proficiency at least CEFR B2 (written/spoken).
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards and allergen management.
• Strong organisational and time management skills; able to work under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Devise menus and cater for official events at the Ambassador's Residence and Mission.
• Interpret requirements and dietary needs to create high‑quality menus.
• Organise procurement from local suppliers and manage budgets.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness, safety standards and equipment care.
• Keep accounts and records of expenditure; liaise with staff and contractors.
• Oversee residence operations, including staff supervision and event support.
