Job summary

IKEA is seeking an experienced Facility Manager in Ticino to secure and manage all properties, ensuring safety, compliance, and optimal operation across the unit. You will lead FM initiatives, coordinate with stores and suppliers, and drive sustainable efficiency in a high-volume retail context.

Qualifications

• Technical background in mechanics or electricity.
• At least 5 years in facility management.
• Experience coordinating with external service providers, preferably in high-volume retail.
• Proven skills in developing people, coaching and training others.
• Strong planning, organizing and cost management.
• Strong understanding of FM processes: work order management, contract and supplier management.
• Strong communication and ability to influence decisions; link between national org, stores and suppliers.
• Fluent in Italian and English (business fluent).

Responsibilities

• Ensure each property is managed throughout its lifetime, covering safety, compliance, maintenance and improvement.
• Introduce property management innovations and digital/technical solutions.
• Lead and manage Ingka Facility Management within the unit via the FM team.
• Optimize property efficiency in a sustainable way.
• Ensure stakeholders understand FM frameworks and initiatives.
• Handle long-term planning, budget estimation, execution, follow-up, forecasting and reporting within FM scope.
• Evaluate supplier contracts at unit level to improve efficiency/costs/quality.
• Coordinate external suppliers at unit level.
• Collaborate with Business owners to meet business needs and set annual goals.
• Build and develop the team, ensuring competence and succession planning.
