You will support line managers regarding skills management, identify training needs and develop local training plans, and coordinate onboarding activities for new employees while acting as the local power user of the company’s learning management system.
Hitachi Energy is seeking a Training & Development Specialist for the Bushing Factory of our Business Unit Transformers to join our team in Zürich-Altstetten shaping the future of energy through world-class learning and development. In this role you will support the line managers regarding skills management, identify training needs and develop local training plans, support the coordination of onboarding activities for new employees and be the local power user of the company’s learning management system. Main focus will be our blue collar population followed by our white collar workers.
Maintain and update local skill sets in line with the given framework
Identify training needs and develop local training plans aligned with company guidelines
Integrate global and regional training initiatives into local curricula
Maintain training records and documentation
Conduct specified trainings, evaluate training effectiveness, as well as prepare and support internal trainers in delivering on-job training
Ensure that training delivery aligns with defined standards
Coordinate onboarding for new employees in collaboration with HR and managers
Ensure completion of onboarding and required training within defined timelines
Act as local power user of the learning management system, assign system access, manage user permissions, maintain training records as well as drive continuous process improvements within your area of responsibility
University Degree in HR, Pedagogy, Psychology or Engineering
Interest in manufacturing processes in a hands-on factory environment
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in training, skills/competency management or Learning & Development
Experience in delivering training or workshops preferably in a manufacturing environment
Experienced in working with LMS or skills management systems
Well structured, self-driven personality with strong communication skills, who can effectively cooperate with operators, supervisors, managers and cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
Fluent German and English
