Balyasny Asset Management seeks an exceptional Thematic L/S Equity Analyst to join its Genève team. The role focuses on identifying structural themes, relative-value opportunities, and macro-driven dislocations in publicly listed equities and related derivatives.

You will generate ideas through top-down and bottoms-up analysis, support in financial statement review and consensus models, and communicate with industry and sell-side contacts.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of equity research on publicly listed companies.
• Strong passion for public markets investing across cyclical sectors.
• Advanced understanding of accounting and financial statements.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (location preference Zug).

ROLE OVERVIEWBalyasny Asset Management is looking for an exceptional Equity analyst to work on a portfolio team in Switzerland. The role will focus on identifying structural themes, relative-value opportunities, and macro-driven dislocations.

RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:Investing and trading in publicly listed equities and relevant derivatives within cyclical marketsGenerating ideas by conducting top-down and bottoms-up fundamental workSupporting in financial statement analysis, cash flows, balance sheets, and maintaining consensus modelsCommunicating with industry and sell-side contacts

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS5+ years of relevant experience in an equity research role covering publicly listed companiesPassion for public markets investing across cyclical sectors with ability to combine fundamental analysis with macro/thematic viewsAdvanced understanding of accounting / financial statementsExcellent analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skillsBachelor's degree or equivalentPreference for Zug location
