Jobbeschreibung

Hexagon Robotics is a division of Hexagon – a global leader in precision measurement. The division develops humanoid robots for industrial sectors to address labor shortages and accelerate the transition from automation to autonomy. Our first humanoid, AEON, was launched in June 2025 and is already in pilots with five customers.

We are looking for a hands‑on Test & Verification Engineer to ensure our robotic systems perform reliably in real‑world environments. Your mission is to build and maintain an effective testing capability that enables engineering teams to deliver robust, high‑quality products.

You will define test strategies, prepare test environments, execute validation activities, document results, and work closely with development and QA teams to drive issues to resolution. Your role requires creating order out of complexity, having a strong eye for detail, and taking pride in turning test findings into product improvements.

This role combines practical robotics work with structured engineering practices and is ideal for someone who enjoys both hands‑on work and systematic validation.

Your Mission
  • Define, plan, and execute hardware, software, integration, and system‑level tests for robotic products.
  • Create clear and repeatable test procedures, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
  • Execute tests on real robotic systems and document results in a structured and traceable manner.
  • Identify, reproduce, and characterize failures and unexpected system behavior.
  • Communicate findings effectively to development teams and support root‑cause analysis.
  • Track issues through resolution and verify corrective actions.
  • Support release verification and readiness assessments.
  • Continuously improve test processes, coverage, and efficiency.

Test Infrastructure & Laboratory Support

  • Build, organize, and maintain robotics test environments and validation facilities together with the QA team.
  • Manage test benches, robots, sensors, tools, and supporting equipment.
  • Ensure engineering test systems are operational, calibrated, documented, and ready for use.
  • Define and maintain test data, test assets, and configuration baselines.
  • Coordinate equipment usage, maintenance, and inventory.
  • Act as the bridge between QA and development teams.
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to software, hardware, and systems engineers.
  • Participate in defect triage, investigation, and verification activities.
  • Ensure issues are sufficiently documented to enable efficient debugging.
  • Drive closed‑loop quality improvement by ensuring findings result in concrete product improvements.
