Job summary

Symlab AG, based in Switzerland, is seeking a skilled RF Verification Engineer to advance our RF measurement and testing capabilities on complex systems. You will operate state-of-the-art RF test equipment, analyze results, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with R&D and production teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, fault isolation, and developing robust test concepts, with opportunities to contribute to automation using Python and SCPI/VISA.

Qualifications

• RF testing and measurement experience required.
• Hands-on with RF test equipment (VNA, spectrum analyzer).
• Experience in troubleshooting and analysis of electronic systems.
• Strong analytical and structured working approach.
• Good German and English language skills.
• Experience with MIL/AECTP qualification testing is a plus.
• Knowledge of test automation (Python, SCPI/VISA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform RF measurements and verification on system level and subassemblies.

• Plan and support qualification and environmental tests (MIL, AECTP) with external labs.

Mastering the RF spectrum – Symlab AG was founded in 2016 and is growing steadily in the development and production of equipment such as jammers, receivers, transmitters, monitoring and classification devices, radio direction finders and antidrone equipment. Symlab AG, headquartered in Freienbach, is a subsidiary of Global Clearance Solutions AG, which eliminates explosive threats and enables the reconstruction of war-torn regions.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform RF measurements and verification on system level and subassemblies
• Operate RF test equipment (e.g. spectrum analyzer, VNA, signal generator, oscilloscope)
• Specify, plan and support qualification and environmental tests (e.g. MIL, AECTP) with external labs
• Analyze measurement results and derive corrective and improvement actions
• Perform structured fault isolation and root cause analysis on module and system level
• Define and develop test concepts, procedures, and acceptance criteria
• Support test automation and data evaluation (e.g. Python, Excel)
• Collaborate closely with R&D, production, and external partners

Your Profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering (EFZ / HF / FH / Bachelor or equivalent)
• Experience in RF testing and measurement environments
• Hands-on experience with RF test equipment (e.g. VNA, spectrum analyzer)
• Experience in systematic troubleshooting and analysis of electronic systems
• Strong analytical skills and structured working approach
• Good English skills (ability to read and understand technical documentation and datasheets)
• Experience with qualification testing (MIL, AECTP) or external test labs is a plus
• Very good written and spoken German; good English skills are desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with test automation (Python, SCPI/VISA)
• Knowledge of environmental and temperature testing
• Experience in statistical analysis and quality processes
• SMD soldering or hardware debugging skills
