RJC Group in Switzerland is seeking a hands-on Technical Lead to support a critical Commodity Trading & Risk Management (CTRM) environment. You will shape the technology landscape, modernise legacy applications and introduce new data, automation and AI approaches.

You will lead the re-architecture and re-platforming of CTRM-connected components, design scalable data integrations, enable APIs and data pipelines, and drive code quality and DevOps practices.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years’ experience in a techno-functional role.
• Strong SQL / T-SQL and SQL Server expertise.
• Ability to translate complex workflows into robust solutions.

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to support a critical Commodity Trading & Risk Management (CTRM) environment at a leading global commodities business.

The role provides a genuine scope to shape the technology landscape, modernise legacy applications and introduce new approaches to data, automation and AI.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead the re-architecture and re-platforming of legacy applications and components connected to the CTRM.
• Design and implement modern, reliable and scalable integrations and data flows.
• Unlock CTRM data through APIs, data pipelines and structured exports into data lakes/warehouses.
• Establish stronger engineering practices around code quality, reviews, standards and technical delivery.
• Explore and implement AI and automation opportunities to improve workflows and delivery.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and wider IT teams to translate complex requirements into robust technical solutions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be someone who combines strong technical capability with genuine business/functional understanding.

• 5+ years’ experience in a techno-functional role within a complex systems environment — commodities experience is useful but not essential.
• Strong, hands‑on SQL / T-SQL and SQL Server experience.
• The ability to understand complex workflows, data models and end‑to‑end transactional implications.
• Exposure to technologies such as Kafka, Git, Kubernetes and DevOps/automation/orchestration platforms.

The role is Hybrid (three days in office per week) and compensation is open to discussion
