ITech Consult AG in Zurich region is seeking an Application Developer for Market Risk with Java and Kotlin expertise. You will extend existing risk and trading applications, implement new functionalities, and ensure performance and reliability in intraday and end-of-day processes.

Requirements include 8-12 years in enterprise environments, strong Java/Kotlin skills, MSSQL, Linux and Kubernetes, plus knowledge of PostgreSQL or PL/SQL as a plus. Banking, trading or risk experience is advantageous.

• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing and support business acceptance testing.
• Analyse and resolve issues as part of 3rd-level support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation covering architecture, design, and implementation.

Project:

Further development of existing Market Risk and Trading applications using Java and Kotlin. The focus is on developing new functionalities, system integrations, and ensuring performance, stability, and maintainability in ongoing application operations.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse business requirements from Risk Management (Market & Credit Risk) and Trading and translate them into technical specifications
• Design, develop, and further enhance existing applications using Java and Kotlin
• Develop and further enhance interfaces to Trading, Market Data, Reference Data, Reporting, and Risk Systems
• Ensure performance, stability, and maintainability, particularly for intraday and end-of-day processing
• Perform unit, integration, and regression testing and support business acceptance testing

Requirements:

• 8-12 years of professional experience as a Software Engineer / Application Developer in an enterprise or financial environment
• Very good knowledge of Java, Kotlin, MS SQL Server (MSSQL), Linux, and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or PL/SQL is an advantage
• Experience with complex application landscapes and system integrations
• Experience in Banking, Trading, or Risk, particularly Market Risk or Credit Risk, is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach
• Experience with production applications and 3rd-level support is an advantage
