Zusammenfassung

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Team Leader Incoming Quality Control (IQC) to lead a 15-20 person IQC team and shape our incoming inspection processes for GIS and GCB materials.

You will partner with operations, supply chain, suppliers and customers to ensure quality from the start of the value chain and drive sustainable improvements across the organization.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years in quality management, project or program management.
• Leadership experience or strong interest in developing people.
• Experience with manufacturing operations, lean & CI, visual management.
• Six Sigma Green Belt is an advantage.
• Strong German and English communication abilities.
• Knowledge of SAP, ideally SAP S/4HANA.

• Act as site responsible and ensure adherence to relevant standards.
• Serve as main contact for urgent quality issues with operations, suppliers, and customers.
• Develop and improve inspection plans for incoming materials.
• Promote a culture of quality and CI using data and KPIs.
• Build relationships across the organization and with key stakeholders.
• Recruit, develop, mentor, and support IQC professionals with succession planning.
• Ensure measurement equipment is maintained, calibrated, and available.

How you’ll make an impact

In this role, you will mainly:

• Drive improvement initiatives together with production, logistics, R&D, sourcing, and other functions to achieve sustainable quality improvements.

Your background

To be successful in this role, you bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• More than five years of experience in quality management, project management, program management, or similar functions.
• Leadership experience or a strong interest in leading and developing people.
• Experience in quality management, manufacturing operations, lean principles, continuous improvement, and visual management.
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of SAP, ideally in an SAP S/4HANA environment.
