Job summary

Adaptyv Bio is building an automated biology lab where AI agents can design experiments, run workflows, and accelerate discovery. We are growing rapidly and seek a Talent Director who can own the hiring function across biology, software, and automation to scale teams from dozens to many dozens.

You’ll partner with founders to define roles, recruit top talent, and implement AI-driven processes to attract and retain exceptional people who believe in the mission and can operate with startup speed

Qualifications

• You’ve hired technical people at real depth, in high-growth environments.
• You can talk to scientists and to engineers and understand biology or software enough to evaluate candidates.
• You are not a mercenary and care about the company’s long-term health.
• You use AI tools seriously to automate and improve recruiting processes.
• You’re a self-starter with high autonomy and can operate without a prioritized req list.
• You learn quickly across unfamiliar technical domains.
• You value startup speed over rigid corporate process.
• Bonus: Swiss labor market experience or biotech/deep-tech hiring experience.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end hiring strategy, define roles, post jobs, build pipeline, run process, close hires.
• Build and scale the recruiting team, including specialist or technical recruiters.
• Own inbound pipeline and ensure standout candidates don’t get lost in the pile.
• Run work trials and design candidate experiences that reflect the mission.
• Pitch and represent the company to candidates, selling the vision authentically.
• Own Ashby and improve automated candidate scoring and comms.
• Collaborate with biology, software, automation, and commercial teams to sharpen hiring criteria.
• Develop org-wide recruiting foundations: leveling, compensation bands, interview structure, onboarding, offers.
