Job summary

Roche in Basel is offering a Talent Acquisition Partner Intern position within Human Resources. You will gain hands-on experience in full-cycle recruiting while supporting senior TA partners to attract, engage, and hire top talent, ensuring a world-class candidate experience.

The internship provides 1:1 mentorship, a hybrid work environment with flexible hours around class schedules, and exposure to modern recruiting processes and analytics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a Master’s program in a related field (HR, Business, Psychology, Communications, Life Sciences).
• Strong written and verbal English communication; conversational German preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Self-starter with eagerness to learn and empathy for people.
• Proficient with Google Workspace and MS Office basics.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems is a plus (Workday).

Responsibilities

• Sourcing candidates via LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and alumni networks.
• Draft, format, and publish engaging job descriptions across channels.
• Screen resumes to identify candidates meeting basic qualifications.
• Coordinate interviews (phone, video, in-person) and ensure a positive experience.
• Maintain candidate profiles in the ATS (Workday) with data accuracy.
• Track recruitment metrics to optimize hiring strategies.

The Position The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly motivated, organized, and people-centric Talent Acquisition Partner Intern to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in full-cycle recruiting. You will work closely with our Senior Talent Acquisition Partners to attract, engage, and hire top talent while ensuring a world-class candidate experience. This internship is designed to give you a comprehensive understanding of how a modern corporate recruiting engine operates, making it the perfect launchpad for a career in HR or Talent Acquisition.

Key responsibilities include:

• Candidate Sourcing: Assist in identifying and engaging top talent using various platforms, including LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and university alumni networks.
• Job Postings: Help draft, format, and publish engaging job descriptions across multiple channels.
• Resume Screening: Review inbound applications and resumes to identify candidates who meet the basic qualifications for open roles.
• Interview Coordination: Schedule phone, video, and in-person interviews, acting as the primary point of contact for candidates and ensuring a seamless, positive experience.
• ATS Management: Help maintain our Applicant Tracking System (i.e. Workday) by keeping candidate profiles updated and ensuring data accuracy.
• Reporting & Analytics: Assist the TA team in tracking key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire) to optimize our hiring strategies.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone who… Is currently enrolled in, or recently (in the last 12 months) graduated from, a Master’s program in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Life Sciences or a related field. Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills in English; conversational German is strongly preferred. Has exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail. Demonstrates a proactive, self-starter mentality with a strong eagerness to learn. Displays a high level of empathy and a genuine passion for connecting with people. Navigates Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications with foundational proficiency.
