Design Systems That Scale Without Breaking

You see systems, not just code. You think about what happens at scale, under load, when things go wrong.

Maybe you've seen too many architectures that looked good on paper but fell apart in production. Maybe you're the person who asks "what happens when this fails?" before anyone else. Maybe you want to design systems that are elegant—not just functional.

At PromptPartner, we build AI automation systems that run critical workflows for European businesses. These systems need to be reliable, scalable, and maintainable. We need someone who can design them right from the start.

What You'll Do

• Design system architectures for automation platforms that scale
• Make technical decisions about databases, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure
• Balance trade-offs between speed, reliability, and complexity
• Review and improve existing systems to handle growth
• Document decisions so the team understands the "why"
• Mentor developers on architectural thinking

You Think About Things Like...

• How data flows between systems
• What happens when third-party APIs fail
• How to design for 10x growth without rewriting everything
• Where to put complexity—and where to avoid it
• When to build vs. when to buy
• How to keep systems simple as requirements change

You don't need to be an expert in all of these—but you should understand how they fit together:

• Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis, when to use what
• APIs: REST, GraphQL, webhooks, event-driven patterns
• Integrations: Third-party APIs, data pipelines, n8n/automation tools

We're an AI company—we use AI tools ourselves.

• Claude Code or similar for rapid prototyping and documentation
• Using AI to explore design alternatives and document decisions
• Writing clear PRDs and architecture specs that AI tools can execute
• Understanding how to design systems that AI agents can interact with
• Staying current with AI tools—things change weekly, we adapt fast
• Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for AI agent architectures is a plus
