Zusammenfassung

Excelsus Structural Solutions (Swiss) AG in Basel seeks a Laboratory & Synchrotron Technician to support laboratory and synchrotron activities, handling samples and preparing XRPD/SAXS measurements for customer projects and R&D.

The role involves organizing beamtime, documenting procedures, and developing innovative sample-format solutions, with regular travel in Europe and strict adherence to safety practices.

Qualifikationen

BSc minimum or MSc preferred in chemistry, life-sciences, or engineering with at least 3 years lab experience.
Strong knowledge of lab safety practices.
Ability to work autonomously with high accuracy and reliability.
Excellent English; German language skills are a plus.
Willingness to travel 1–2 times per month in Europe.
Experience writing technical documents and using MS Office.

Aufgaben

Prepare samples for XRPD, SAXS and related analyses.
Conduct XRPD and SAXS measurements at synchrotron facilities in Europe.
Handle sample preparation, weighing and microliter-scale liquid samples.
Coordinate beamtime logistics and document all procedures.
Manage sample storage, shipping and documentation per procedures.
Develop innovative technical solutions for specific sample formats.
