Zusammenfassung

Excelsus Structural Solutions (Swiss) AG in Basel seeks a Laboratory & Synchrotron Technician to support laboratory and synchrotron activities. You will prepare samples, participate in XRPD and SAXS measurements at synchrotrons in Europe, and manage sample handling and documentation for customer projects and R&D.

The role requires a BSc or MSc with 3+ years lab experience, strong English, and willingness to travel 1–2 times per month.

Qualifikationen

• BSc minimum or MSc preferred in chemistry, life-sciences, engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years of practical lab experience.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety practices.
• Ability to work rigorously and autonomously with high accuracy and reliability.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong customer-orientation mindset.
• Willingness to travel 1–2 times a month in Europe.
• Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written).
• Ability to manage and write technical documents.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Eagerness to work in a dynamic startup environment.

Aufgaben

• Prepare samples for XRPD and SAXS and related techniques, including loading powders into capillaries in a glovebox.
• Participate in beamtime data collection sessions 1–2 times per month at European synchrotron facilities.
• Handle, store and ship samples with proper documentation and SOPs.
• Plan and manage beamtime logistics for the team.
• Develop innovative technical solutions for sample formats and experiments.
