agap2 is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to design and develop primary and secondary systems for substations (HV/MV), including protection, control, and automation schemes. You will prepare schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection concepts while performing power system studies to support grid integration.

The role requires a Master’s in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems, hands-on testing and commissioning experience, and fluency in English and German.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power systems or energy engineering.
• Experience in primary and/or secondary design for substations or utility-scale electrical systems.
• Familiarity with protection and control systems, including relays and SCADA/automation.
• Strong knowledge of power system analysis tools (load flow, short-circuit calculation software).
• Experience with electrical design tools (AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar).
• Hands-on testing, commissioning, and field validation experience.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Structured, solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop primary and/or secondary systems for electrical substations (HV/MV), including protection, control, and automation schemes
• Prepare and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and protection concepts
• Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) and support grid integration activities
• Specify, select, and validate electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and control systems
• Collaborate with utilities, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure technical compliance and project execution
• Support testing, commissioning, and validation of substation systems on-site and in laboratory environments
• Contribute to applied engineering improvements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of grid technologies and standards
• Document and present technical solutions, reports, and project deliverables
