Your Responsibilities:
- Design and develop primary and/or secondary systems for electrical substations (HV/MV), including protection, control, and automation schemes
- Prepare and review electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and protection concepts
- Perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination) and support grid integration activities
- Specify, select, and validate electrical equipment such as transformers, switchgear, protection relays, and control systems
- Collaborate with utilities, EPC contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure technical compliance and project execution
- Support testing, commissioning, and validation of substation systems on-site and in laboratory environments
- Contribute to applied engineering improvements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of grid technologies and standards
- Document and present technical solutions, reports, and project deliverables
Your Profile:
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on power systems or energy engineering
- Experience in primary and/or secondary design for substations or utility-scale electrical systems
- Familiarity with protection and control systems, including relays and SCADA/automation
- Strong knowledge of power system analysis tools (e.g., load flow, short-circuit calculation software)
- Experience with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar)
- Hands-on approach to testing, commissioning, and field validation
- Structured, solution-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Fluent in English and German
