Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, seeks a Manager of Procurement CCPM & CE to lead capital construction and equipment sourcing for CAPEX projects. This on-site role partners with E&PS, GET, and suppliers to ensure value delivery and process excellence across project lifecycles.

The role requires five years in procurement with strong contract, sourcing and supplier management capabilities, plus excellent English communication. German is a plus; travel up to 20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Science, or related field.
• Minimum five years of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, or category management experience.
• Experience with A&E, Construction Management, Automation, Commissioning & Qualification, and Capital Equipment suppliers desirable.
• Significant contracting experience and subcontractor management.
• Working knowledge of construction contracts (SIA 118) essential.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, supplier relationship management, sourcing, category management, analytical, and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with engineering, finance, quality, EHS and cross-functional partners.
• Strong business and financial acumen to influence cost, cash flow, and value outcomes.
• Strategic mindset, data-driven thinking, collaboration, and change readiness.
• Knowledge of sustainability/ESG and responsible sourcing is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal English; German is a site asset.
• Willingness to travel up to ~20%.

Responsibilities

• Category leadership and sourcing for Capital Construction, Capital Equipment and related CAPEX.
• Manage medium- to high-complexity spend with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations, contract execution, and supplier performance.
• Support strategy deployment and global procurement programmes at the Schaffhausen site.
• Partner with E&PS, GET, Supply Chain, R&D, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Procurement.
• Drive supplier performance improvement focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement efficiency, risk management, and compliance.
• Maintain alignment with Credo, leadership expectations, and regulatory requirements.
