Fortil, an international engineering group, is seeking a Space Mechanical / Thermal Engineer to strengthen its Swiss activities. The role focuses on designing space equipment and performing thermal analyses in a multidisciplinary environment.

You will contribute to mechanical design, simulations, and system integration, while addressing environmental constraints like vacuum and vibration. A Master’s in a relevant field and 8+ years in space/embedded environments are required, with fluent English.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Thermal Engineering.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in space or embedded environments.
• Strong thermal analysis and simulation expertise.
• Experience with complex equipment design and systems integration.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to mechanical design of space equipment and subsystems.
• Perform thermal analyses and simulations to support development.
• Support structural simulations when required.
• Participate in architecture definition and trade-offs.
• Integrate equipment into complex space systems.
• Consider environmental constraints: vacuum, vibration, mass.
• Collaborate across system, mechanical, RF, and manufacturing teams.
• Produce design files, analysis reports, and integration documentation.
• Support test, qualification and environmental testing.
