Zusammenfassung

Fortil, an international engineering and technology consulting group, seeks a Space Mechanical / Thermal Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. You will work on advanced equipment for demanding space applications, contributing to mechanical design and thermal analyses.

You will collaborate with system, mechanical, electronic, RF, manufacturing and integration teams, participate in reviews and provide documentation for tests and qualifications.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in mechanical/aerospace/thermal engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in space or highly demanding embedded environments.
• Fluent English; French a plus.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to mechanical design of equipment and sub-systems for space applications.
• Perform thermal analyses and thermal simulations to support product development.
• Support structural simulations when required.
• Participate in mechanical architecture definition and technical trade-offs.
• Contribute to the integration of equipment into complex space systems.
• Take into account severe environmental constraints: thermal, vacuum, vibration, mass, materials and interfaces.
• Collaborate with system, mechanical, electronic, RF, manufacturing and integration teams.
• Participate in design reviews, risk analyses and technical justification activities.
• Produce technical documentation: design files, analysis reports, justification notes and integration documentation.
• Support test, qualification and validation activities, including environmental testing.
