Zusammenfassung

Fortil Switzerland is seeking a Hardware Engineer – Space Design & Test to join a multidisciplinary team developing advanced electronic systems for space applications. You will contribute to the full hardware lifecycle from architecture and board development through integration, testing and qualification.

Reporting to a technical manager, you will design boards, support PCB layout reviews, and perform hardware validation and verification.

Qualifikationen

• Engineering degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electronic hardware design or hardware validation.
• Experience with analog, digital or mixed-signal hardware development.

Aufgaben

• Design and develop electronic boards for space and aerospace applications.
• Contribute to analog, digital and mixed-signal hardware architectures.
• Translate system requirements into reliable electronic solutions.
• Perform schematic design and component selection, and support PCB layout reviews.
• Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts and validation platforms.
• Support board bring-up, debugging, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Define and execute hardware verification, validation and qualification plans.
• Perform functional, electrical, EMC and environmental testing at PCBA and product levels.
• Support the integration of electronic boards into larger systems and subsystems.
• Contribute to design reviews, technical trade-off analyses and DFM/DFA/DFT activities.
• Support industrialisation, production readiness and supplier interactions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, test procedures, qualification files and validation reports.
• Collaborate closely with system, software, mechanical, RF, manufacturing and industrialisation teams.
