Zusammenfassung

Hexagon Robotics is seeking an Engineering Manager Software for Simulation in Zürich. You will lead a team building the virtual environments, tooling, and workflows to bring AEON from concept to reliable industrial deployment.

You will code alongside the team in Python on Linux, guiding architecture, design and delivery. You will own the simulation roadmap, drive multi-technology integrations, and mentor engineers on quality practices while collaborating with robotics, DevOps, and product teams

Qualifikationen

• MSc or PhD in Robotics/Computer Science or related field.
• Proven line management experience with people responsibility.
• Experience and interest in roadmap planning for your team.
• Strong hands-on software engineering background with production experience in Python on Linux.
• Experience with simulation engines and related tooling (Nvidia Omniverse / Isaac Sim; Unreal/Unity/Gazebo).
• Ability to lead through influence and align stakeholders, without micromanaging.
• Solid understanding of software quality practices: code reviews, testing, CI/CD, debugging, operational readiness.
• Excellent communication and organization to drive multi-team execution.

Aufgaben

• Lead and grow a team of simulation engineers building the simulation platform and tooling.
• Contribute to design and implementation in Python and collaborate with engineers across subsystems.
• Own the simulation roadmap and translate robotics needs into objectives and milestones.
• Drive complex system integrations to enhance fidelity and usability of the platform.
• Handle hiring support, onboarding, feedback, and career development for the team.
• Evaluate build-vs-buy decisions to accelerate the platform with in-house or external solutions.
• Promote code quality, reviews, tests, and reliable deployment practices.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with robotics, DevOps, product, and systems teams.
