Viking is seeking a Manager Maintenance based in Vienna, Austria, to ensure 24/7 technical support and safe operations across the fleet. You will visit ships, assess state, order and supervise repairs, and coordinate with onboard engineering and external contractors.

The role requires advanced technical expertise and the ability to manage multiple tasks with clear priorities, plus frequent travel across Europe. Fluency in English and German is required.

Qualifikationen

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in marine or technical operations.
• Experience on board a river cruise ship is a plus.
• Strong data-driven decision making.
• Knowledge of maritime technologies and sustainable practices.

Aufgaben

• Oversee maintenance of river cruise ships.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and guidelines in Technical Manuals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams onboard to address defects.
• Conduct regular inspections of ship systems and equipment.
• Coordinate repairs and restoration after incidents or planned maintenance.
• Work with ship crews and external contractors to restore ships.
• Prioritize urgent repairs to minimize downtime.
