Viking River Cruises Basel seeks an experienced Human Resource Manager to lead shipboard HR operations across all departments, reporting to the Captain. You will drive employee relations, training, coaching, and governance of quality of life aboard the vessel.

Responsibilities include enforcing STAR Service Standard, resolving disputes, managing attendance, and coordinating with shoreside HR. Shipboard experience is preferred; English fluency is essential for communication and leadership.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years as HR Manager or similar position.
• Diploma in Human Resources Management.
• Shipboard experience preferred.
• Strong administration skills; proficient with PC databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Fluent in English; excellent oral and written communication.
• Guest-focused, service-oriented with strong work ethic.

Aufgaben

• Provide leadership in employee relations and guide Department Heads and Shipboard Managers on HR issues.
• Implement and sustain STAR Service Standard and Quality of Life onboard.
• Handle employee relations issues, conflict resolution and grievance processes.
• Ensure Time and Attendance procedures and compliance with Maritime Labor Convention.
