GE Vernova seeks a Lead Mechanical Steampath Design Engineer to own the design of mechanical steampath components for steam turbines using reaction and impulse blading technology. You will design and assess steam turbine blades and mechanical steampath components for replacement-in-kind, service, and retrofit projects within a global team.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering with steam turbine focus.
• Strong experience in steam turbine technology, blades, steampath components, and mechanical design.
• Knowledge of blade design, manufacturing, analysis and industry standards.

Aufgaben

• Apply engineering principles to design and analyze steam turbine blades and components across applications.
• Understand operating history via record searches and data analysis.
• Perform checks on blade assembly and manufacturing processes.
• Adapt legacy designs to improve manufacturability and reliability.
• Develop and maintain best practices with global teams.
• Create and review manufacturing documentation for blades for replacement, upgrade or retrofit.
• Provide manufacturing support and contribute to root cause analysis of failures.
• Mentor and guide early-career engineers.
• Communicate with project management, sourcing and suppliers to support objectives.
• Occasionally travel to other sites and suppliers.
