GE Vernova in Switzerland is seeking a Steam Turbine Service & Upgrade Engineer to lead end-to-end turbine service projects, upgrades, and retrofits for our global fleet. You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Sourcing, and field teams to deliver value and maintain safety, quality, and cost standards.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
• Experience in power generation, specifically with turbine or generator technology, accessories, controls, or balance of plant.
• Proven track record of delivering on complex challenges across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in additional languages a plus.

• Architect Solutions: Partner with external and internal customers to understand their unique needs, crafting winning technical proposals for value-added service and upgrade offers.

• Drive Excellence: Champion Lean methodology and continuous improvement; assist group leaders in managing priorities and delivering on organizational objectives.

What You Will Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
• Relevant engineering experience in power generation, specifically with turbine or generator technology, accessories, controls, or balance of plant.
• Strong track record of delivering on complex challenges across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Proven critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with fluency in additional languages being a plus.
• Ability to interact effectively with team members and customers in the Americas, Europe, MEA, and Asia during their local business hours.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience with steam turbine service, upgrade, or new unit projects.
• Familiarity with legacy Alstom and/or legacy GE steam turbine technology and configurations.
• Experience in Application and/or Requisition Engineering.
• Enthusiasm for adopting new technologies, including AI-powered engineering tools, to optimize productivity and process quality.
