Job summary

Zurich Soft Robotics is seeking a hands-on software leader to own the Solskin software stack, from cloud data management to embedded firmware, and to guide AI-powered control decisions for climate-adaptive facades.

You will lead development with the CEO/CTO, coordinate with hardware and data teams, and shape future products. A strong MSc/PhD, Python, C/C++, PyTorch experience, and cloud skills are required for this Zurich-based role.

Qualifications

Education: MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or similar.
Python: This is a must. You write clean production-grade Python.
Embedded & Hardware: Shipped C/C++ on microcontrollers with sensors and actuators.
Applied AI & Control: Understanding of modern control and ML/RL with PyTorch.
Cloud & Data: Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Docker and AWS.
Leadership attitude: You take ownership and grow as a leader.
Languages: English required; German is a plus.
Hybrid setting: On-site at least three days per week; sometimes at customers.

Responsibilities

Own the full software stack from cloud and data management to embedded firmware.
Lead development and set software direction with CEO and CTO.
Support hardware team and build internal tools for sales and business teams.
Collaborate across cloud, data, and product to deliver future building solutions.
