Job summary

Mimic Robotics AG in Zurich is seeking a hands-on Systems Engineer to evolve our robotics and AI stack into a scalable, production-grade platform. You will own core system architecture, policy execution harnesses, and fleet infrastructure enabling autonomous operations in real-world environments.

You will work at the intersection of cloud, AI, and robotics fleet software, collaborating with AI research and hardware teams to deliver robust, integrated solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production-grade systems in real-world settings (robotics, autonomous devices, or edge ML).
• Strong systems-level engineering with cloud performance optimization and hardware/software integration.
• Experience building execution wrappers, safety monitors, or telemetry/remote-operation tools for edge systems.
• Able to dive deep into code and make high-impact architectural decisions independently.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Zurich; in-person presence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement fleet management capabilities for end-to-end learnt manipulation, including remote deployment and monitoring.
• Architect petabyte-scale robotics infra spanning edge computing, AI runtimes, and local infrastructure.
• Maintain high reliability with rigorous testing, CI/CD, DevOps standards, and system-level software certification.
• Collaborate with AI research, AI infrastructure, robotics and hardware teams to bind research output to scalable infrastructure.
