Job summary

Flexion Robotics, based in Zürich, is scaling its autonomy stack for humanoid robotics. We are seeking a senior Software Engineer to advance production platforms, tooling and infrastructure powering AI, deployment and telemetry.

You will own end-to-end projects, influence architecture, and collaborate across research, robotics and deployment teams. The role emphasizes building scalable backend systems, APIs, cloud infrastructure and data tooling, with strong emphasis on testing, code quality,

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering (or equivalent practical experience).
• Significant professional software engineering experience at senior scope.
• Proficiency in Python and in at least one compiled language (C++, Go, Rust).
• Strong software architecture skills, modular design and scalable systems.
• Experience building and operating production backend systems: APIs, cloud infra and databases.
• Experience with Git/GitHub, CI/CD, Docker and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Build tooling and platforms for robot deployments and customer-facing applications.
• Lead projects end-to-end from scoping to long-term ownership.
• Shape technical direction through reviews and architecture decisions.
• Collaborate with research, robotics and deployment teams to translate needs into reliable platforms.
• Improve engineering practices including testing, code quality and documentation.
• Contribute to AI development tooling and internal deployment tooling.
